Majestic Waterfall in East Java
Madakaripura Waterfall, located in Probolinggo, East Java, is one of Indonesia’s most majestic waterfalls. Tucked away in the lush Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, it is the tallest waterfall in Java at 200 meters. The waterfall is surrounded by steep green cliffs, creating a mystical and almost otherworldly atmosphere. It is said to be the meditation spot of Gajah Mada, the legendary prime minister of the Majapahit Empire.

Experience
The Journey to the Falls
The trek starts with a 30-minute scenic walk through the jungle, crossing small rivers and rocky paths. Visitors will be surrounded by towering cliffs covered in moss and tropical plants, with small waterfalls trickling down along the way.
The Enchanting Waterfall
The main attraction is a massive, curtain-like waterfall that flows down from above, creating a magical, misty ambiance. Walking into the natural amphitheater of waterfalls feels like stepping into a hidden paradise. You will get soaked from the mist, so waterproof gear is recommended.
A Place of Historical Significance
According to legend, Gajah Mada meditated here in his final days. The site carries spiritual significance for locals and is often visited by those seeking blessings.
