Introduction
A Thrill-Seeker’s Paradise
Timang Beach is a rugged and dramatic coastline located in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. It is famous for its gondola ride that connects the mainland to a small rocky islet in the middle of the ocean. The beach is not for swimming, but it offers thrilling experiences, stunning ocean views, and fresh seafood. Unlike typical white-sand beaches, Timang Beach has strong waves, rocky cliffs, and a wild natural atmosphere, making it a unique adventure destination.

Experience
The Thrilling Gondola Ride
The gondola is a traditional wooden cable car that crosses over 50 meters of crashing waves below. Originally used by lobster fishermen, it is now a tourist attraction for those seeking adrenaline-pumping experiences.
Alternative: If the gondola is too extreme, visitors can cross the Timang Suspension Bridge, offering an equally exciting (but safer) route to the islet.
Jaw-Dropping Ocean Views
From the cliffs of Timang Beach, you get a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. The contrast of blue waters, white waves, and dark rocks creates an amazing photo opportunity. Sunset views here are breathtaking and worth waiting for.
Fresh Lobster Feast
After the adventure, visitors can enjoy fresh lobsters and seafood caught by local fishermen. The Timang Lobster Restaurant serves grilled lobsters, prawns, and fish with delicious Javanese sauces.
