A Perfect Sunrise Trek in Central Java
Mount Prau, standing at 2,565 meters, is one of the most accessible and beginner-friendly mountains in Central Java. Unlike the rugged and extreme climbs of Raung or Semeru, Prau is known for its gentle slopes, breathtaking sunrise views, and picturesque rolling hills.
It is often called the "Land of Teletubbies Hills" due to its vast green meadows, wildflower fields, and soft, undulating landscapes. The trek is relatively short, making it a favorite among casual hikers, photographers, and nature lovers looking for a scenic weekend escape.
